Things I know.

We are born and we die. In between, you live whatever life you are capable of.

You constantly face choices of right and wrong. The sum of your upbringing, experience, and willpower influence these choices. Perhaps there is a component out of your control that is determined before you were conscious, but I am in no way sure of that.

Even a seemingly passive tree growing in the forest takes nutrients, water, sunlight, and space away from other lifeforms for it's own use. By living and thriving a tree fights and destroys other life.

Our creator gave us intelligence, creativity, ambition, and curiosity. It would be a shame not to honor these gifts.

I drive many hours each week for my job. The only thing keeping me sane during all the driving is podcasts. I first was introduced to them by Cory Doctorow a year or so ago...and quickly found Escapepod, Mur Laferty, Scott Sigler, JC Hutchins, and Podiobooks.com. I have spent much quality time with my Ipod shuffle and these great podcasters.

I scripted a translator for Second Life chat recently. It works fairly well thus far. But I have a few more bugs to work out. I want to add some functionality like IM support...and maybe other languages. So far it only does English(angla) and Esperanto.

I logged into Katherine Berry's Ajaxlife client and used my translator to speak to a friend in Japan.

This made me very happy.

I am having to put this little project on hold for a few weeks because of work and personal life time crunch. But I will be back on it as soon as I can. Des pli bona.

I have to make a few decisions about what to do with it once it's done also. Do I sell it in Second Life? Do I give it away? Do I take donations?
